The Public Authority
for Investment Promotion & Export Development (PAIPED), Opened
in January 1997, and originally known as the Omani Centre for
Investment Promotion & Export Development(OCIPED), PAIPED has
recently been re-named as a government-run authority by Royal
Decree number 52/2011 issued in 27th March 2011.
PAIPED aims at increasing the contribution of the Private Sector
to the investments required for the development plans and
promoting the export of Omani products to foreign countries to
improve the balance of trade of the Sultanate.
